Overview

My name is Krista Stryker and I created the HIIT Workouts pack for humanOS. As the founder of 12 Minute Athlete, I’m so excited to share these short yet effective workouts with you. I know you’re going to love them!

As a personal trainer and an athlete, I used to spend hours in the gym until I was overtrained, injured, and had little time in my day to do anything else. That’s when I discovered high intensity interval training (HIIT) and everything I knew about fitness and exercise was turned upside down. Not only did I get leaner and fitter than ever before, my strength and confidence levels skyrocketed. It was after my own successes that I created 12 Minute Athlete so I could share these incredibly efficient HIIT workouts with the world—and help people of different fitness levels get and stay in great shape in as little time as possible.

In creating these workouts for you, my goal was to bring you over 70 of the most timesaving, effective full body workouts possible that you can easily do in your own home, park, or favorite gym. Since most people’s #1 excuse for skipping their workout is lack of time, every one of these workouts is just 12 minutes long so you can fit them into your day no matter how busy you are. Each workout is made up of bodyweight exercises or basic pieces of equipment you can easily store in a closet at home. And if you don’t have any equipment at all, no problem—we’ll provide equipment substitutions for all of the exercises.

Many of the workouts are challenging, yes—but as someone who could barely do a single push up for years, I know you’ll be feeling extremely proud when you see progress being made – just stick with it! And until then, we’ve made sure to provide beginner modifications to help you build strength and confidence to get you to be your fittest, strongest self ever.

In order to get the most out of these workouts, you’ll have to work hard—but it will be worth it, I promise! Stick with them and before you know it, you’ll be stronger, have better conditioning, and function better in your workouts and your daily life. And remember, they’re only 12 minutes long, so your workout will be over with before you know it!

How it works

Here are a few tips to get the most out of these workouts:

  • Each day a new workout from the library will be featured. Make it easy on yourself and do that one!
  • Access any workout from your dashboard and in the HIIT workout library. Searchability makes finding different workouts easy. Want to do a workout with, let’s say, lunges? Search ‘lunges’ from within the HIIT library and all the workouts that include that exercise will be displayed.
  • Favorite your most ♥ workouts. Doing so will save them on your favorites section making them easy to find the next time you want redo one of your previous favorites.

And lastly, have fun with it! You always feel good after a good workout. Start slow, do what you can, don’t worry if you can’t do everything, and keep at it. You’ll be more fit before you know it and it will feel awesome.
